Dolat-Usha Institute of Applied Sciences And Dhiru-Sarla Institute of Management & Commerce, is an esteemed academic institution established in the green jewel of South Gujarat, the city of Valsad. Before the onset of the millennium year, when the academic scenario was changing at a galloping pace, an urge was felt to introduce graduation courses in the field of Science which could match the needs of modern education.

In 1999, by initiating three undergraduate courses [B.Sc.-Microbiology, B.Sc.-Computer Science, B.C.A] and in 2001 one Post-Graduate course P.G.D.M.L.T., the seeds to set up an educational institution with academic excellence were sown and thus began the journey through highest standards of quality learning and resourceful infrastructure.

With generous donations from stalwart Late Shri Kantibhai Desai [Mora-Bhagda], in the loving memory of his late parents Shri Ranchhodji Desai & Smt. Ambaben Desai, from Late Shri Dolatbhai Desai & Smt. Ushaben Desai [Mora-Bhagda] and their family in U.S.A., from Shri Samirbhai Desai [Hanuman-Bhagda & USA] in the fond memory of his late parents Shri Thakorbhai Desai & Smt. Lilavatiben Desai, and from Smt. Binduben Desai & Smt. Jayshreeben Naik in memory of their beloved parents Late Shri Nanubhai Desai & Smt. Vinaben Desai [Mora-Bhagda] and maternal grand-parents Late Shri Bhimbhai Desai & Late Smt.Vajiaben Desai [Chharwada], the above courses were segregated from their previous association with B.K.M. Science College, and were brought under the establishment of Dolat-Usha Institute of Applied Sciences in 2006.

Later in 2008, Dr. Saurabh Desai [Mora-Bhagda & U.S.A.] in the loving memory of his late parents Shri Dhirubhai Desai and Smt. Sarlaben Desai donated handsomely to commence undergraduate programme in Management that led to the renaming of this prestigious Institute to Dolat-Usha Institute of Applied Sciences And Dhiru-Sarla Institute of Management & Commerce, in honour of its esteemed donors.
